Mortgage Bankers Association of Florida Offers Leadership Training

With more than a decade of experience in mortgage financing, David Kushner of Cresskill, New Jersey, is the president of Paradigm Capital Group. Having facilitated loan financing from Cresskill all the way south to his former home of Florida and beyond, David Kushner maintains membership in professional associations including the Mortgage Bankers Association of Florida (MBAF).

MBAF has a Future Leaders Program that offers comprehensive leadership training to junior real estate associates with at least three years of experience. To prepare the next generation of real estate-industry leaders, the MBAF training program consists of four parts: a legislative day, a conference, a state convention, and college coursework.

The legislative day gives participants a window into how lawmakers affect the mortgage industry. The conference offers them the opportunity to join the planning committee of a major event as well as learn from the speakers. Networking with peers and deepening industry knowledge in a collaborative atmosphere is the aim of the annual state convention. Lastly, participants take two college-level business courses to solidify their learning and leadership experience.
